Useful information about the COVID-19 pandemic

Entry to Austria

Arrivals to Austria currently do NOT need "3-G" proof (vaccinated/recovered or tested). During your stay, the following rules apply:

  • FROM 1 JUNE: In Vienna, FFP 2 masks are no longer mandatory but remain compulsory on public transport and in pharmacies.

Services operated by the City Airport Train CAT from the airport to Wien Mitte station have been suspended until further notice. However, smooth transfers from and to the airport continue to be provided by trains of Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) and buses. ÖBB guarantees that its trains are cleaned and disinfected several times daily. Wearing an FFP2 mask is mandatory on all trains and on the station premises.

Free PCR gargle tests are available on all ÖBB Nightjet trains travelling to Vienna. The test kits are handed out by staff on board the trains and can be handed in upon arrival in Vienna at one of 620 REWE stores. If handed in before 9 a.m., the result will be available within 24 hours.

Concerning the event, we encourage participants to wear a mask to prevent any infection.
